Walk of Witness 10th April 2009
On Good Friday there was the traditional Walk of Witness down the High Street. The crowd, of over 100 people from every church in the area, assembled outside the Rutland Arms where hymns were sung, then processed down then up the High Street, finishing in the Guineas Centre (Rookery) for more hymns and prayers.
The event was finished off with hot cross buns and coffees at All Saints church, which was also well attended. The newly-launched Newmarket Town Pastors acted as marshalls throughout.
