Newmarket Open Door
Open Door began as a Churches Together initiative in 1997 and now supports several houses for the homeless, emergency help, a food bank and runs a charity superstore in Craven Way, as well as the Recyling centre on Depot Road. They have also just taken over the West Suffolk SOS Bus. See the Open Door website.

Credit Union
A credit union is a community organization that can open savings accounts and lend money to people who may not be able to access High Street finance, including those with poor credit histories. Services include savings and "lock it away" accounts, loans at better rates than doorstep providers, pre-paid debit cards, and even a savings and loan plan for those on child benefit. Newmarket Pregnancy Support Centre
The Newmarket Pregnancy Support Centre is a local charity run by Christians from Newmarket churches and offers free, confidential counselling for those with a crisis pregnancy or who may be struggling after abortion. We are affiliated to the national body Care Confidential.
Our trained advisors aim to provide time, space, and a listening ear to help women look at their circumstances in an un-pressured way.
We also run a longer-term programme of individual or group sessions to support those who have lost their baby through abortion or miscarriage.
